Well, I just finished painting and basing my Asterion Moloc model, and thought I would first share some photos of him, and then provide a tutorial on how I painted him! Painting 40k drop pod how to#Voila, a very simple and quite effective way of painting Ivanus! I hate painting black, as I think it looks quite bland, though as a Chaplain he is entitled to it! I think the key was to just paint in as much detail as possible! White was added to staff and honour seals, washed with Badab Black and on the seal a slight amount of Blood Red was added. Hashut Copper was added to all details such as legs and shoulder pads etc. Whole model washed in Badab Black, not very sparingly! The skulls on knee and shoulder pad were painted with Runefang Silver. Next I did the same with the Hashut Copper but with Blood Red sections, namely plume, staff and cape. I then applied Hashut Copper to the big details, namely head, chest and staff. So here is my step by step guide on how to paint Ivanus Enkomi of the Minotaurs!įirst step was under coating with Abaddon black spray, touching up with Abaddon paint and then covering the whole model with Nuln Oil, not stressing too much about the cape or the back at this stage. I magnetized the cape as the has the option of a jump pack which I may want to make use of one day! (First I need to get my hands on a Jump Pack!)
